“Antalya continues to be the shining star of the Mediterranean”

 

Making a speech at the opening ceremony of Antalya Airport’s state guesthouse, President Erdoğan said: “With our government’s investments, Antalya continues to be the shining star of the Mediterranean, prospering and developing in every area. We have taken many steps over the past 21 years to unleash Antalya’s potential. Having remedied the city’s shortcomings in infrastructure and superstructure, we have made Antalya the apple of the eye of the world.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the opening ceremony of Antalya Airport’s state guesthouse.

Expressing his happiness to be visiting Antalya, the engine of tourism, agriculture, history and production, President Erdoğan said: “With our government’s investments, Antalya continues to be the shining star of the Mediterranean, prospering and developing in every area. We have taken many steps over the past 21 years to unleash Antalya’s potential. Having remedied the city’s shortcomings in infrastructure and superstructure, we have made Antalya the apple of the eye of the world.”

Describing Antalya as a city that constantly sets the bar higher in a wide range of areas including agriculture, tourism, industry and trade, President Erdoğan said: “With the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, the third of which we will organize this year, we have turned Antalya into a global brand where the heart of diplomacy beats. Such international organizations yield positive outcomes, contributing to Antalya’s promotion all over the world.”

Stressing that the number of tourists visiting Antalya in 2023 has increased 19 percent year-on-year to 16 million, President Erdoğan added: “In other words, one out of every four tourists visiting our country was hosted in Antalya. Our goal in tourism is to reach 60 million in 2024. I wholeheartedly believe that we will make this goal come true.”
