President Erdoğan spoke at the Sabiha Gökçen International Airport 2nd Runway Opening Ceremony
Speaking at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s 2nd Runway Opening Ceremony, President Erdoğan said: “With the inauguration of the new runway, Sabiha Gökçen Airport will acquire the capacity to accommodate over 85 million passengers annually.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s 2nd Runway Opening Ceremony.
Noting that Sabiha Gökçen Airport has become the flight hub of not only Istanbul but of the entire region following its entry into service in 2001, President Erdoğan said that the airport, with its domestic and international flights, hosted 25 million passengers in 2021 and 31 million passengers in 2022.
Pointing out that Sabiha Gökçen Airport ranks the third in Türkiye in terms of passenger traffic following Istanbul Airport and Antalya Airport, President Erdoğan said: “With the inauguration of the new runway, Sabiha Gökçen Airport will acquire the capacity to accommodate over 85 million passengers annually.”
