“Gaza has the same place in our hearts as Karabakh”

 

Addressing citizens following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said: “Any incident taking place around us, from the Balkans to the Caucasus, from the Black Sea to the eastern coasts of the Mediterranean, are of direct concern to us. Gaza has the same place in our hearts as Karabakh. Just as we do not discriminate between Bosnia and Aleppo, or Tripoli and Balkh, or Thessaloniki and Mosul, so we consider Al Quds and our own ancient cities to be the same.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.

Making remarks on the issues addressed during the cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan said: “As we have mobilized to stop the bloodshed in Gaza, we as Türkiye watch the Western countries’ ruthlessness in shame. Israeli occupation forces are massacring innocent people every day, including women, children, journalists, doctors, the elderly and civilians; yet, no country, neither Europe nor the U.S., shows even the slightest reaction.”  

“Israel, which employs all the instruments of modern warfare, including the threat of dropping atomic bombs on children, women and the elderly, as well as anyone who supports it, will be held accountable not only before history but also in the conscience of humanity,” the President said. 

“OUR NATION IS AWARE OF THE FACTS”

President Erdoğan noted: “Unless we react to the incidents occurring today in Gaza, we cannot prevent the occupying fanaticism, called ‘the promised lands,’ from extending to our own territories.”

“That is why we say that any incident taking place around us, from the Balkans to the Caucasus, from the Black Sea to the eastern coasts of the Mediterranean, are of direct concern to us. Gaza has the same place in our hearts as Karabakh. Just as we do not discriminate between Bosnia and Aleppo, or Tripoli and Balkh, or Thessaloniki and Mosul, so we consider Al Quds and our own ancient cities to be the same,” stressed President Erdoğan, and added: “Thank Allah, our nation has this vision and is aware of the facts.”

“WE HAVE NEUTRALIZED NEARLY 2,000 TERRORISTS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR”

Touching upon Türkiye’s determined and uninterrupted fight against terrorist organizations and crime groups, President Erdoğan noted that nearly 2,000 terrorists, including ringleaders, have been neutralized since the beginning of the year.

Pointing out that Türkiye is holding terrorists to account for every drop of blood they shed, President Erdoğan stressed that the country’s anti-terror fight will continue both inside and outside the borders until the last terrorist is neutralized.

“We have torn apart the terror corridor sought to be established along our southern borders with the operations we have conducted in Syria’s north. We have pushed away the separatist terrorist organization from our Iraq border with the Claw operation,” said the President.

“We are closely monitoring the attempts to embolden the separatist terrorist organization. We don’t refrain from reversing these insidious and treacherous plans with new operations when necessary. Our warning, ‘We can come one night all of a sudden,’ is still valid today as it was yesterday.”
