“Our nation has seen the biggest development initiative in our country’s history over the past 21 years”

 

Speaking at a rally in the Esenler district of Istanbul, President Erdoğan said: “Our nation has seen the biggest investment and development initiative in our country’s history over the past 21 years.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the party's rally in the Esenler district of Istanbul.

Underscoring that the political instabilities had cost Türkiye so many years in the past, President Erdoğan said: “This was one of the reasons why terror and tutelage could not be eliminated for years as well. The political sphere had always produced crises instead of services and projects. Those who had benefitted most from this was anti-democratic powers, who are the enemies of the national will. It was when the executive, legislative and judicial powers started to work in coordination then our country gained political power. We, since we assumed the responsibility to govern our country in 2002, have achieved and done this.”

“Türkiye has come with us to the places that were unimaginable before,” President Erdoğan stressed, and added: “Also, our nation has seen the biggest investment and development initiative in our country’s history over the past 21 years. Our democracy has acquired its strongest position during this period. The most successful fight against terrorist organizations has been put up during this period. The influence of our country in the global politics has increased during this period as well.”
