President Erdoğan attends grand final of Holy Quran Recitation Contest

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the grand final of the Holy Quran Recitation Contest.

Making a speech at the event held at Beştepe Nation’s Convention and Culture Center, President Erdoğan prayed for the protection of all the Muslims across the world, particularly those affected by the February 6 earthquakes in Türkiye, against any kind of troubles and problems, and pointed out that the Holy Quran Recitation Contest, held by the TRT for the seventh time, took place during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Stressing that no transient trouble can overshadow the fact that there are many more things today than in the past for which one should be thankful, President Erdoğan said: “Even the Hagia Sophia’s reversion to its original in line with Mehmed the Conqueror’s legacy is enough alone to symbolize our country’s reunion with our civilizational values. We want to make these joyful developments a foundation for a new leap forward that would take our country and nation to the top league in every realm of life. No doubt that we will achieve this revival with the strength we derive from our faith and civilization originating from the Holy Quran.”

President Erdoğan continued his remarks as follows: “What we mean by the Century of Türkiye is a vision and revival which embrace the dreams of not only our 85 million citizens but also of such a giant civilization. We will achieve this goal as well, just as we have done in all the endeavors we have undertaken thus far.”
