President Erdoğan attends opening ceremony in Eskişehir

 

Speaking at an opening ceremony in Eskişehir, President Erdoğan said: “Our greatest service to this country is that we have compensated for centuries-old shortcomings in democracy and development in merely 20 years. Now we are preparing to build the Century of Türkiye upon this strong infrastructure of works and services.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at an opening ceremony in Eskişehir.

Noting that Eskişehir's dynamism rises day by day with its industry, technology, agriculture, logistics, education, healthcare and all its developing means and opportunities, President Erdoğan said: “This region, which was the world's center of knowledge and production for centuries in the past, has experienced undeserved negligence in recent years. Our greatest service to this country is that we have compensated for centuries-old shortcomings in democracy and development in merely 20 years. Now we are preparing to build the Century of Türkiye upon this strong infrastructure of works and services.”

“THE PILOT PLANT WE INAUGURATED WILL PROCESS 1,200 TONS OF ORE PER YEAR IN THE FIRST PHASE”

Stating that they inaugurated the pilot production facility that will process the 694 million tons of rare earth element reserves they discovered in the Beylikova district of Eskişehir, President Erdoğan said: “These minerals have a wide range of usage araes, from energy and defense to chemistry, glass and ceramics. These are such strategic products that they constitute one of the most important elements of the economic competition between the US and China. The pilot plant we inaugurated will start by processing 1,200 tons of ore per year in the first phase. Immediately afterwards, we will establish a new plant that will increase annual production to 570 thousand tons.”

Pointing out that they will build three new boron processing plants in Eskişehir this year with an investment of TL501 million, President Erdoğan said: “I wish that our rare earth element facility will be auspicious to our country and our city. I have another good news. The design, manufacturing and assembly of the locomotive and subsystems of our country's first domestic electric locomotive E-5000 has been completed, and testing and certification has started. We will produce 500 locomotives that we will need in the next 10 years here.”
