President Erdoğan casts his vote at Saffet Çebi Middle School in Istanbul

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan cast their votes in the presidential and parliamentary elections at Saffet Çebi Middle School in Istanbul.

President Erdoğan made a brief statement after casting his vote.

“May the elections be auspicious for our nation,” President Erdoğan said. Noting that the election process continues without any problems, President Erdoğan said: “The most important thing was our citizens’ casting their ballots in the quake-hit region. Our citizens in the quake-hit region are casting their votes with great enthusiasm. There has been no problem there so far. We pray to our Lord for an auspicious future for our country, our nation and the Turkish democracy after the ballot count in the evening. It is of utmost importance in terms of demonstrating the strength of the Turkish democracy that our voters cast their votes until 17:00 in the evening without any concerns. I wish success to all the balloting committee members and chairpersons. I congratulate them all.
