President Erdoğan in the U.S.

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has arrived in New York to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly and hold several meetings.

President Erdoğan was welcomed at John F. Kennedy International Airport by Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the UN Sedat Önal, Türkiye’s Ambassador to the U.S. Hasan Murat Mercan, and Türkiye’s Consul General in New York Reyhan Özgür.

Accompanying President Erdoğan in the U.S. are First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

Proceeding from the airport to the Turkish House in New York, the First Couple were welcomed by citizens outside the Turkish House.
