President Erdoğan speaks with first Turkish astronaut Gezeravcı

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a videoconference with the first Turkish astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, who will go to the International Space Station within “the first space mission with human”, the initial leg of the National Space Programme.

At the call that took place during the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan noted that the mission is very valuable since it is both a science mission and an inspiration for the Turkish youth, and wished success to Mr. Gezeravcı and his team.

Mr. Gezeravcı, for his part, said that they are waiting for the mission that will begin tomorrow night, and thanked President Erdoğan for laying the groundwork for the future generation to open up the curtain that was limiting their dreams.
