President Erdoğan spoke at our Party's Grand National Assembly Group Meeting

Addressing AK Party’s parliamentary group meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We, together with our humanitarian, political and military presence, stand ready to be one of the guarantors of the Palestinian side. We call on all the countries with goodwill and determination to assess our offer, take concrete steps and open the doors to peace as soon as possible.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the party's parliamentary group meeting.

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO DESTROY THE TERROR CORRIDOR SOUGHT TO BE ESTABLISHED ALONG OUR BORDERS”

Drawing attention to Türkiye’s fight against terror, President Erdoğan stressed that neither the support of the malign circles at home nor the protection of the imperialist powers they rely on will prevent the separatist terrorist organization from perishing, and said: “With the operations we carry out by saying ‘We might come one night all of a sudden,’ we will foil the projects sought to be realized through terrorist organizations and crush their heads. We hope that those, who protect terrorist organization’s members and supporters that operate on their lands just because it annoys Türkiye and just because they bear enmity towards our faith, will see the reality one day. We are afraid that it will be too late for everything when the snake they have been feeding in their bosom will bite themselves. Although they do not abide by what statecraft and international law require, we will never give up on fulfilling what our dignity requires us to do. We will continue to destroy the terror corridor sought to be established along our borders, and to stand up against the dirty campaigns conducted against our country and faith.”

“ISRAEL HAS BEEN CONDUCTING ONE OF THE BLOODIEST ATTACKS OF HISTORY”

Delivering remarks on the Palestine issue, President Erdoğan stressed that they have always addressed the issue from the perspective of human, and went on to say: “As has been the case in other regions, we have defended human, human life and the ancient values, which make humans people. We have made every effort in order for this crisis to not further escalate, and will continue to do so. In order to meet the needs of the Gazan people to some extent, we have sent eight planeloads of medical and humanitarian aid supplies to Al-Arish Airport in Egypt. Also, we have dispatched our 25 healthcare personnel to Egypt for the treatment of the injured. In addition, we have clearly stated that we never approve of any acts against civilians, including Israeli civilians, no matter who carries these acts out. As was the case in the past, we maintain this principled stance of ours today as well. We do not have any problem with the State of Israel, but we never have and never will approve of Israel’s oppression and their course of action that resembles that of an organization rather than a state. Israel has since October 7 been conducting one of the bloodiest, the most hideous and the most violent attacks of history against the innocent people in Gaza.

“Almost half of those who have died in Israel’s attacks on Gaza have been children, and the other half mothers and family elders of those children. Merely this fact is enough to show that the intention is not to protect themselves but a brutality aimed at committing a deliberate crime against humanity. There is no other country or army in the world that bombs the cities with warplanes night and day to kill children, fires hospitals, places of worship, schools, markets, buildings, streets, and that keeps committing this crime against humanity with its tanks, artilleries and weapons. I call on Israel and the world: They are holding meetings. They met once again during the last meeting. The entire West sees Hamas as a terrorist organization. I call on Israel: You can be an organization, because the West owes a lot to you, but Türkiye owes you nothing. Hamas is not a terrorist organization; it is a group of liberation and mujahedeen fighting to defend its lands and citizens.”

“WE HAD A PROJECT TO GO TO ISRAEL, BUT WE CANCELED IT”

Underscoring that no one can sleep in peace or look to their future in confidence in a world where children embrace their parents’ dead bodies and parents embrace their children’s dead bodies, President Erdoğan noted that he, once in his life, shook the hand of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel at the Turkish House in New York, and added: “We had goodwill, but it has been exploited. We had a project to go to Israel, but we canceled it, we will not be going. If they had continued with goodwill, we could have had different relations, but unfortunately we will not have, because they have exploited our goodwill.”

Stressing that Israel will not be achieving anything with this mindset, President Erdoğan said: “You can take either the U.S., the others or the West next to you, but you cannot achieve anything. America will lose as well, because they do not ensure that justice prevails in the world, they do not want it. The only thing is to build a just world. It applies not just to Israel, but also to every country, every society and every individual that supports Israel’s massacres and encourages them instead of preventing them.”

It is time to clearly address the attitude of those who have turned their back on the reality of the despicable killing of hundreds of children, women and innocent people every day. Turning their back on truth, or inventing excuses for the ongoing inhumane attacks by turning a blind eye to the shattered bodies of children is a legacy the West has inherited from their bloody history. There are many bloody traces, painful memories and irreparable massacres on the minds of an important part of the world, from America to Africa.”

“TÜRKİYE IS THE ONLY GEOGRAPHY WHERE ANTI-SEMITISM HAS NOT BEEN EMERGED”

“We as the Turkish nation are the only people in the world that has never practiced racism,” President Erdoğan noted, and went on to say: “It is the Jewish community that knows this fact the best. We are the only state and Türkiye is the only geography where, although Jews have lived throughout centuries on its lands, anti-Semitism has not been emerged. None of those, who stand in line to support Israel for the children and innocent people it has killed, can proudly make such a statement. This includes their rabbis.

“Are not they the ones who, all through false excuses and pawn organizations they have established, have caused the death of 2 million people in Iraq, 1 million people in Afghanistan and 1 million in Syria over the past 25 years alone? Are not they the ones who have attempted to silence through threats, and even blackmails the university students, academics, journalists, artists, athletes and business people who have made in their countries statements in favor of the oppressed Palestinian people? We are all together witnessing the fascist faces of those who do not leave democracy, human rights, pluralism, freedom of thought to anyone when it comes to rhetoric. Let me note that our country’s doors are wide open to the university students and all the other segments that are having a hard time in their countries just because of their dignified attitude. The tears the western powers, who are turning a blind eye on the oppression in Gaza, are shedding for Israel is nothing but the embodiment of fraudulence. The indifference of those, who, just until yesterday, set the world on fire for the losses in the war in Ukraine, to the blatant massacre in Gaza is the manifestation of this very hypocrisy.”

A CEASEFIRE SHOULD BE DECLARED IMMEDIATELY”

President Erdoğan stated that the perpetrators behind the massacre and destruction in Gaza are those who give unlimited support to Israel.

Addressing Israel and those who support and encourage Israel, President Erdoğan said: “As long as innocents continue to die in Gaza, no ship, no plane, sent to our region, no political show will bring peace.”

President Erdoğan stressed that the Israeli government should seek security not 10 thousand kilometers away, but in its neighbors in the region, especially Türkiye.

“When the powers on whom Israel relies today pack up and leave tomorrow to put out the fires in their own homes, the first place the Israeli people will look for safety and compassion will be Türkiye, just as it was 500 years ago. What we ask from the Israeli government and society is that they refrain from behaviors that will damage this centuries-old sense of compassion of our nation and heed our call for peace. We are aware that the forces that, starting a century ago, surrounded us with the cruelty that drowned these lands, which house the oldest settlements in the world, in blood and fire, do not want a solution today as was the case yesterday. Those who cause the problem, of course, do not want a solution. The deeper the crisis goes, the more complicated it becomes, the better it is for their interests. This is the reason behind the provocative statements and actions since the crisis began on October 7,” President Erdoğan said.

Pointing out that they reject the exploitative order for which all the peoples of the region, including Muslims, Christians and Jews, pay the price, President Erdoğan said that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a common place of worship for Muslims, Christians and Jews, that the authorities do not take care of the common place of worship, that they have called these authorities and warned them and that they continue to call on them to “take care of it together”.

Stating that the vicious circle in which every war is followed by new wars and every conflict is followed by more bloody conflicts must be broken, President Erdoğan said: “We need to act with common sense and prudence and tear apart the straitjacket that is forced on us. Otherwise, we will continue to pay the price with our lives, blood, resources and future. The steps that need to be taken for this are clear. First of all, all parties should take their hands off the trigger and a ceasefire should be declared immediately.”

“A HUMANITARIAN CORRIDOR MUST BE ESTABLISHED IMMEDIATELY TO MEET THE URGENT NEEDS IN GAZA”

Noting that direct or indirect negotiations should be initiated on the issue of the cessation of Israel's attacks on Gaza and other regions as well as the firing of missiles into Israeli territory and the release of the hostages and that this issue should be concluded quickly, President Erdoğan said: “You put children in cages. What kind of mind is this? Can such a thing happen? Children, [they are just] children. A humanitarian corridor must be established immediately to meet the urgent needs in Gaza, and the entry of necessities and the exit of the injured must be allowed without restrictions. We have made our hospitals available for the treatment of all the injured. The Rafah border crossing must be kept open at all times for humanitarian aid. Everyone knows very well that 20 trucks of aid material sent to a region where the need is expressed in hundreds of trucks is nothing more than a drop in the sea.”

Stating that Israel should not prevent the delivery of adequate humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, the removal of the ruins, the restoration of the city's infrastructure from water to energy, the rapid construction of temporary shelters and field hospitals, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye has sent a field hospital and generators to the region and will continue to send the necessary ones.

“WE CALL ON ALL THE COUNTRIES WITH GOODWILL AND DETERMINATION TO OPEN THE DOORS TO PEACE”

President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye will never shy away from assuming a responsibility in order for this war to lay the groundwork of a lasting peace, and said: “We see the body of guarantorship currently as the most tangible, the most consistent and the most efficient method aimed at producing a realistic resolution to the matter, at least in short- and medium-term. We, together with our humanitarian, political and military presence, stand ready to be one of the guarantors of the Palestinian side. We call on all the countries with goodwill and determination to assess our offer, take concrete steps and open the doors to peace as soon as possible.”

Underscoring that they, as a country that wholeheartedly believe that a just peace will have no losers, are offering that an “International Peace Conference on Palestine-Israel” be held in which all the actors with influence in the region will participate, President Erdoğan noted: “However, this conference should be held in light of the lessons drawn from the outcomes, which have failed, of many similar meetings, from Madrid to Oslo, and Sharm El Sheikh to Annapolis, which have been held over the past 30 years.”

“THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE SHOULD ACT AS A WHOLE”

Pointing out that both parties need such steps, Türkiye’s offer for guarantorship in particular, which will be taken in light of much stronger, more binding and more practical decisions, President Erdoğan stressed: “Obviously, the ultimate resolution is to establish a sovereign and independent State of Palestine on the 1967 borders, with Al-Quds as its capital, which will be recognized by the entire world. To achieve this, first of all, the Palestinian people should ensure unity and solidarity among themselves and act as a whole. What will complement this will to be displayed by the Palestinian people is the necessary material and emotional support to be provided by the Arab world in order for this state to survive.”

Noting that such a development, which will be backed by the Islamic states as well as by all the states that have not closed their minds and conscience to realities, will restore the stability and peace that Israel has been pursuing, President Erdoğan added: “Otherwise, it is impossible to predict what will be the consequences of the radicalization that will further increase with every attack, every massacre and every destruction in the region.”

“THE UNSC MUST RAPIDLY REFORM ITSELF”

Stating that the objection “The world is bigger than 5”, which he has voiced at every opportunity, has been confirmed once again with the latest developments in Gaza, President Erdoğan said: “From here, once again, I repeat our cry about the injustice, imbalance and ineffectiveness of the global governance and security system by saying ‘The world is bigger than 5’. The United Nations, and especially the Security Council, must rapidly reform itself. We must establish a United Nations operation and Security Council structure in which the people of the world can feel themselves fairly included in all their diversity and balance, especially in terms of geographical and religious distribution.”

Underlining that there is no sustainability in a structure that surrenders the security of the world to the interests of five countries, President Erdoğan said that what has happened in Gaza is the latest example of this clear reality.

Noting that it is first and foremost inhumane to insist on maintaining a system that does not even tolerate talking about the brutal killing of thousands of innocent people, most of whom are children, President Erdoğan said: “No one will take seriously or follow a structure in which the brutal murder of children is ignored. We are deeply saddened by this image of impotence that the United Nations has fallen into. I hope that our call will be heeded as soon as possible and the necessary processes will be carried out.”
