President Erdoğan spoke at the 3,500 Disabled Teachers Appointment Ceremony

 

Speaking at the appointment ceremony of 3,500 teachers with disabilities, President Erdoğan said: “We have realized major reforms on the participation of persons with disabilities in life. Beyond material contributions and expanding institutional capacity, we have achieved a mindset revolution in this field.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks at the appointment ceremony of 3,500 teachers with disabilities in Ankara.

Noting that the number of teachers with disabilities who joined the education community in the last 10 years has reached approximately 11,500, President Erdoğan said: “One of the most important signs of a country's development, progress and advancement is the level of the disadvantaged groups’ participation in society.”

Highlighting the serious shortcomings of the past in Türkiye in the exercise of the rights of persons with disabilities in a wide range of areas from education to employment, President Erdoğan said: “Every individual in a country is unique. Every individual is richness, an inseparable part of that great whole. A country that neglects its people with disabilities has given up some of its potential. Therefore, we have realized major reforms on the participation of persons with disabilities in life. Beyond material contributions and expanding institutional capacity, we have achieved a mindset revolution in this field.”
