President Erdoğan spoke at the Kayseri rally

Addressing citizens in Kayseri, President Erdoğan said: “We have elevated Türkiye to the strongest level in the history of the Republic in political, economic, military and social terms. On the one hand, we have corrected the shortcomings that have accumulated in our infrastructure due to a century of negligence, and on the other hand, we have realized our nation’s aspirations for rights and freedoms.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at the party’s rally in Kayseri.

Noting that the locals in Kayseri have been a source of inspiration for many cities with the oasis of industry, trade and agriculture they have managed to create in the middle of Anatolia, President Erdoğan highlighted Kayseri’s leadership role in paving the way for all the 81 provinces of the country to produce and export.

“If our people are travelling to every corner of our country and the world to engage in trade today, the courage instilled by Kayseri plays an important role in this,” stressed the President, saying: “Inspired by Kayseri, we have undertaken pathbreaking works, and continue to do so. We have elevated Türkiye to the strongest level in the history of the Republic in political, economic, military and social terms. On the one hand, we have corrected the shortcomings that have accumulated in our infrastructure due to a century of negligence, and on the other hand, we have realized our nation’s aspirations for rights and freedoms. We have been amply rewarded as we have worked as the country and the nation. Ultimately, we have achieved a threefold growth in Türkiye over the past 21 years.”

“OUR GOAL IS TO UPGRADE OUR COUNTRY TO ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE AMONG THE WORLD’S TOP ECONOMIES”

Describing their next goal as to double the country’s economy and upgrade it to its rightful place among the world’s top economies, President Erdoğan said that they have the experience and determination to achieve this but that they only need to work harder and show some more patience.

Noting that just like individuals, nations also have ups and downs, opportunities and unforeseen challenges before them, President Erdoğan touched upon the February 6 earthquakes, and wished Allah’s mercy upon the 53 thousand lives lost in the disaster.

Stressing that they have been working day and night to revive the quake-hit cities, President Erdoğan stated: “The number of houses we have built and handed over to their rightful owners has neared 80 thousand. We will have increased that number to 200 thousand by the end of the year. We revive our quake-hit cities in a manner to prepare them for the Century of Türkiye with their streets and squares, with their historical and cultural sites, and with their infrastructure that would support production and employment.”
