President Erdoğan spoke at the opening of Sebilürreşad Culture and Art Center

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Sebilürreşad Culture and Arts Center, President Erdoğan said: “With the understanding that nations that lose their spirit will be nothing more than a corpse, we have an obligation to support every effort aimed at getting to the heart of our civilization, history and culture. Leaving your mark in history means taking on an uphill struggle into which you shall put your heart and soul.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the inauguration of Sebilürreşad Culture and Arts Center in Ankara.

Wishing happy Ramadan to the participants, President Erdoğan recalled that March 12 marks the 103rd anniversary of the adoption of the Independence March, the Turkish national anthem, and said: “The meaning denoted by the Independence March has no other precedent in the world. I remember with mercy and grace Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the poet of the Independence March, which is the written form of a strong will for independence coming from the bottom of our nation’s heart.”

“With the understanding that nations that lose their spirit will be nothing more than a corpse, we have an obligation to support every effort aimed at getting to the heart of our civilization, history and culture,” stressed the President, adding: “Leaving your mark in history means taking on an uphill struggle into which you shall put your heart and soul. You cannot see anyone who makes history by only criticizing others without taking any action.”
