President Erdoğan attended Kahramanmaraş Urban Transformation Mass Groundbreaking Ceremony via live connection

 

Addressing a groundbreaking ceremony in Kahramanmaraş, President Erdoğan said: “We will rebuild our quake-hit cities in a more magnificent, more resilient and more spacious manner with all their infrastructures and superstructures alike.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed via videoconference the Urban Transformation Mass Opening Ceremony in Kahramanmaraş.

President Erdoğan commenced his speech by wishing Allah’s mercy upon the soldiers, who died a martyr’s death in the Operation Claw-Lock zone, and a speedy recovery to the injured.

Stating that they aim to build 319 thousand houses within the first twelve months and deliver them to their rightful owners, President Erdoğan said that the tenders of 180 thousand have been completed so far.

Noting that an on-site transformation project has been launched both to overcome the difficulties of finding reserve areas, and to meet the demands of citizens, President Erdoğan stressed: “Our 160 thousand citizens have thus far applied for on-site transformation. There are over 20 thousand brothers and sisters of ours among our citizens.”

Not only the constructions will speed up with the on-site transformation project, but also the economy will revive, new areas of employment will emerge, the culture of neighborhood will be strengthened and the houses will be built with lower costs, President Erdoğan underscored, and added that they as the government will build town squares in the quake-hit cities.
