President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens in Giresun

 

“WE HAVE TO FOCUS ON AREAS OF COOPERATION”

Noting that the region Türkiye is located in has been going through turbulent times, President Erdoğan said: “While our region from the Black Sea to the Middle East has turned into a complete circle of fire, we work to prevent the emergence of new enmities or tensions. Let me speak openly and frankly: We have just one goal in foreign diplomacy, which is to increase the number of our friends as much as possible. If we want to make the Century of Türkiye the century of peace as well, we have no other way but to enhance our cooperation with the friendly and brotherly countries. If we want to foil the imperial powers’ scenarios targeting our region, we have to bond together with the friendly and brotherly countries. We have to focus on areas of cooperation rather than fixating on divergences of opinion.”

Drawing attention to Israel’s escalating massacres in Gaza, President Erdoğan said: “Israel’s massacres in Gaza have been escalating. Israel, which cannot break the Gazan people’s resistance and determination through bombs, is starving them into surrender. Our goal is to establish immediate ceasefire and ensure uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza as much as needed. It is a duty of brotherhood for us to support and help Gaza more during the holy month of Ramadan.”
