President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at a meeting with mukhtars at the Exhibition Hall within the Presidential Complex

“The office of mukhtar is a structure unique to our administrative system,” President Erdoğan said. “Our mukhtars ensure that the link between our citizens and higher institutions such as the offices of mayor, district governor and governor remain healthy and sustainable.”

“AMID A DETERIORATING SECURITY CLIMATE, TÜRKİYE HAS CARRIED OUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ANTI-TERROR OPERATIONS IN ITS RECENT HISTORY”

Praising the past 7 years as the most successful and effective period in Türkiye’s fight against terror, President Erdoğan said: “We have never given way to any of the risks or threats in the world.Amid a deteriorating security climate, Türkiye has carried out the most important anti-terror operations in its recent history. As you may recall, immediately after July 15 [coup attempt], we announced to the whole world that our country's anti-terror concept changed and that we would no longer fight threats within our borders, but at their source. We had taken steps in line with the new concept along our southern borders and launched operations to crush the heads of terrorists in their lairs. We thus foiled the ‘imperialist game’ that aimed to encircle Türkiye from the south. Today, we continue our operations beyond our borders with the same understanding, and we do not allow terrorists to violate the lands of our homeland with their dirty feet.”

Wishing once again Allah’s mercy on our martyrs who fell to protect our homeland, and extending his condolences to their families and relatives, President Erdoğan said: “59 terrorists have been neutralized in the operations carried out since December 22. Our National Intelligence Organization have carried out highly successful operations against the terrorist infrastructure and its leaders in northern Syria. We will continue our operations until the last terrorist no longer poses a threat to our country and nation.”
