President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the Joint Dialogue Forum held by the Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TISK) in Istanbul

Underscoring that TISK, which defends the rights and interests of employers on many domestic and international platforms, assumes key roles in ensuring labor peace in Türkiye as well, President Erdoğan noted that the Confederation, with its 21 member employer associations operating in various sectors of economy and industry, including public service, is one of the locomotive structures of economy.

Thanking the TISK members for contributing to the export figures for 2023 that broke a record by reaching 256 billion dollars, President Erdoğan said: “We consider this historic record, which we have broken in exportation despite the hot conflicts and crises in our region as well as the increasing uncertainties in global economy, to be very valuable. Türkiye, together with your support, is advancing with firm steps towards its goal of qualified growth through investment, employment, production, exportation and current account surplus. The Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations displayed quite a constructive stance during the minimum wage negotiations as well. The discussions were held by taking into consideration the needs of our employees and employers as well as our country’s conditions within a rational framework.”

Stressing that as the Turkish economy grows bigger, all the 85 million, from employees and employers to the retired, public servants, farmers and craftsmen, will benefit from the added value that will emerge, President Erdoğan added: “Türkiye is capable of both successfully managing global crises and advancing towards its goals.”
