Presidential Cabinet at Anıtkabir

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and members of the Presidential Cabinet paid a visit to Anıtkabir and laid a wreath at Atatürk’s Mausoleum.

President Erdoğan and cabinet members proceeded to Atatürk’s tomb through the Lion Road and laid a wreath at the mausoleum, in front of which they stood in homage. The Independence March was sung.

President Erdoğan later wrote the following in the Anıtkabir Special Book at the Misak-ı Milli Tower:

“August Atatürk,

We stand before you here with our new cabinet members in the second term of the Presidential System of Government. Today, we will hold the first meeting of our cabinet, and quickly embark on our path with the goal of building the Century of Türkiye. As President of Türkiye, I, together with our cabinet, will serve all of Türkiye and all of our 85 million people with love. Inshallah, we will make this year, in which we share the excitement and rightful pride of reaching the 100th anniversary of our Republic, which you entrusted to us, the starting point of our period of rise. May Allah help us not let down our nation.

May you rest in peace.”
