“The problems of our citizens in the quake zone are our top priority”

 

Speaking at an iftar with quake victims in Hatay, President Erdoğan said: “Obviously, the elections are important, but the problems of our citizens in the quake zone are at the very top of our agenda. We will not stop or rest until you feel at peace. We are working selflessly to heal your wounds, to lighten at least to some extent the burden you, our brothers and sisters, have on your shoulders.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli shared iftar with quake victims in Büyükdalyan Container City in Hatay.

Speaking at the iftar dinner, President Erdoğan said: “Obviously, the elections are important, but the problems of our citizens in the quake zone are at the very top of our agenda. We will not stop or rest until you feel at peace. We are working selflessly to heal your wounds, to lighten at least to some extent the burden you, our brothers and sisters, have on your shoulders. Our state’s relevant institutions have been on the ground since the very first day. Our ministers have almost never left the zone unless they have been obliged to do so. Our municipalities are working against time, so to speak, to revive Hatay together with its infrastructure, superstructure and cultural values.”
