“Türkiye has now become a global power with its production, employment and exports”

Addressing citizens in Pursaklar, President Erdoğan said: “Türkiye has now become a global power with its production, employment and exports, rising beyond being a regional power.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens in Pursaklar, Ankara.

Stating that Ankara is not only a major city of the country from the Seljuks to the Ottomans and the capital of the Republic, but also an engine of the country in many fields from agriculture to industry, education to health, transportation to sports, President Erdoğan said: “This city, which rises like a monument of civilization in the middle of the steppe, has a long way to go.  To achieve that, we need to strengthen both the intellectual and physical production aspect of Ankara.”

Underlining that the only way to wealth for a country was through production, President Erdoğan said: “If you do not have underground resources such as oil and natural gas, you have no choice but to work and produce. For years, Türkiye has been deliberately kept away from high-tech production. We have been an agricultural country, but we have produced only enough to feed ourselves with very low yields. We have only been able to extract our minerals in the most primitive way and with the lowest added value. Our industry has not gone beyond assembly based on labor. Our trade has remained stagnant even within the borders of our own country and has not opened up to the world. This is the vicious circle we have broken in Türkiye.”

“Türkiye has now become a global power with its production, employment and exports, rising beyond being a regional power,” President Erdoğan said.
