“We have achieved centuries’ worth of progress in democracy and development”

 

Speaking at an event in Istanbul, President Erdoğan said: “We have ensured security and stability. And our people have worked, endeavored and exerted great efforts, displaying their capability. Together we have achieved centuries’ worth of progress in terms of democracy and development moves.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at an evet held with the theme of “Strong Industry, Strong Türkiye, Istanbul Gathering” at Istanbul Congress Center.

Commencing his speech by thanking all the industrialists who have contributed to Türkiye’s development, strength and efforts on the path to achieving its goals in economy, President Erdoğan said: “You would best appreciate the value of investment, employment and production. Therefore, you would know the primary need of a country is the climate of security and stability.”

Underscoring that they have for the past 21 years ensured security and stability in Türkiye, President Erdoğan noted: “And our people have worked, endeavored and exerted great effort, displaying their capability. Together we have achieved centuries’ worth of progress in terms of democracy and development moves. Together we have overcome the setbacks raised before us, foiled the traps and torn down the scenarios throughout this process. Together we have prepared 2023, when we will be leaving the first century of our Republic, to the Century of Türkiye.”
