“We will continue to work with determination in defense industry”

Addressing citizens in Sakarya, President Erdoğan said: “We will continue to work with determination in defense industry in line with our goals, for which we constantly raise the bar.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at the party’s rally in Sakarya.

“BEING STRONG IN EVERY AREA IS AN OBLIGATION FOR TÜRKİYE”

Underscoring that having a powerful army and a strong defense industry is a must for Türkiye and the Turkish nation in order to live in peace and safety on these lands, President Erdoğan noted that although it may be a choice for other countries, being strong in every area is an obligation for Türkiye.

“Otherwise neither international law nor alliances we are a member of or the United Nations, whose impotence is accepted by all, can defend us against our enemies. The only thing that will protect us against our enemies is our own brute force, own strength as well as our own means and capabilities.”

“WE MEET THE NEEDS OF FRIENDLY AND BROTHERLY COUNTRIES AS WELL”

Further stressing that having KAAN warplane, TCG ANADOLU ship, UCAVs AKINCI and KIZILELMA, UAV ANKA, ATAK helicopter, ALTAY tank and various missile systems is a matter of survival for Türkiye, President Erdoğan added that they have started to reap the fruits of the investments they have made in the defense sector over the past 21 years in terms of both security and exportation.

Pointing out that they meet the needs of friendly and brotherly countries together with theirs, President Erdoğan said: “Last year, we achieved a record exportation figure of 5.5 billion dollars by exporting 230 kinds of products to 185 countries. Sakarya, as has been the case in other areas, has been one of the leading cities of our country in these efforts of ours. We will continue to work with determination in defense industry in line with our goals, for which we constantly raise the bar.”
