“We will revive Gaziantep by protecting its historical identity”

 

Speaking in quake-hit Nurdağı, President Erdoğan said: “We will revive Gaziantep in a stronger manner by protecting its historical identity and demographic structure.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli visited the quake-hit Nurdağı district of Gaziantep.

Wishing Allah’s mercy on the people who lost their lives in the earthquakes and a speedy recovery to the injured, President Erdoğan said: “We are rapidly finding solutions to our citizens’ urgent needs while also taking steps that will permanently solve their other problems.”

Announcing that construction of 270 thousand housing units will begin in March in 11 provinces, President Erdoğan said: “We will revive Gaziantep in a stronger manner by protecting its historical identity and demographic structure. We will not only heal the wounds in our cities, which for thousands of years housed great civilizations, but also build an infrastructure, which will ensure that our citizens look to the future with confidence for centuries to come.”
