“We will revive our quake-hit regions with all their provinces, districts and villages”

 

Speaking in the quake-hit Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş, President Erdoğan said: “We will inshallah revive our regions hit by the earthquakes with all their provinces, districts and villages while rapidly transforming the places facing the same threat in other regions of our country.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Chairman Devlet Bahçeli of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) and Chairman of the Great Unity Party (BBP) Mustafa Destici inspected the ongoing relief efforts in Elbistan district of Kahramanmaraş.

Delivering remarks following his inspections, President Erdoğan, recalling that the epicenter of the second of the two earthquakes that had occurred on February 6 had been Elbistan, said: “The earthquakes that happened 9 hours apart on the same day have caused massive destruction in our district.”

Underscoring that they would accelerate the urban transformation works in all the provinces under the threat of earthquake, President Erdoğan noted: “I believe this big disaster has reminded everyone, all of us the earthquake reality. We all together have experienced how indispensable for our country our urban transformation projects.”
