President Erdoğan spoke at TEKNOFEST Izmir

 

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks at the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space and Technology Festival at Çiğli Airport in İzmir.

Drawing attention to the ongoing events marking the centenary of the Republic in a manner befitting its historical importance, President Erdoğan said: “We seek to introduce our Republic’s century-old history to our youth through activities spanning a large spectrum. TEKNOFEST is one of such activities. We work to enable as many youth as possible to relish the enthusiasm and the magnificent atmosphere of TEKNOFEST.”

Stressing that he has endeavored to serve Türkiye and remove the obstacles in its way throughout his political life exceeding 40 years, President Erdoğan said: “We have always walked with the youth in every phase of our journey in politics. I have always taken joy in being a companion to the youth. I have always been proud of this country’s youth regardless of their views, origins or life styles.”

“We have carried Türkiye from success to success in every field, particularly in defense industry,” noted the President, citing some of the significant achievements Türkiye has enjoyed over the past two decades. “Along with our moves in defense industry, our exports also increase exponentially. Our target for this year’s exports is to surpass 6 billion dollars. Our exports in this field jumped from 248 million dollars to 4.5 billion dollars last year. We will inshallah further increase these figures. We will keep working day and night until we achieve our goal of a ‘fully independent Türkiye’ in defense industry, just like in all the other fields.”
