“We have mobilized all our means for our youth”

 

Speaking at a TÜGVA meeting, President Erdoğan said: “We have mobilized all our means for you, our young brothers and sisters, whom we believe will be the architect of the Century of Türkiye. We are removing all the obstacles in order for our youth, who read, research and question, who are interested in science, arts, sports and culture, and who have national and moral values, to make their dreams come true.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at a meeting of Türkiye Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) at Beştepe Nation’s Convention and Culture Center.

Noting that 730 million liras have been provided to 26 thousand 632 higher education students in 2023 through TÜBİTAK scholarship programmes, President Erdoğan stated: “6 thousand 60 students have thus far participated in over 3 thousand 200 projects as part of the STAR programme. A total of 2 thousand 140 companies have been founded with our Individual Young Entrepreneur support. In short, we have mobilized all our means for you, our young brothers and sisters, whom we believe will be the architect of the Century of Türkiye. We are removing all the obstacles in order for our youth, who read, research and question, who are interested in science, arts, sports and culture, and who have national and moral values, to make their dreams come true.”

“PEACE CANNOT BE SERVED BY TURNING A BLIND EYE, A DEAF EAR TO THE HUMANITARIAN TRAGEDY OCCURRING IN GAZA”

Also touching upon the ongoing incidents in Gaza, President Erdoğan said: “Obviously, peace cannot be served by turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the humanitarian tragedy occurring in Gaza.”

Underscoring that any step that does not serve the purpose of peace means supporting war, President Erdoğan added: “We do not want these conflicts, these attacks to mount, and, Allah forbid, to spread to our region. We call on all the actors with a say and influence in the region to endeavor to defuse the tension instead of recklessly supporting a party.”
