“We serve the 85 million with an understanding that embraces Türkiye with all its colors and differences”

 

Addressing citizens in Istanbul, President Erdoğan stressed that they remain dedicated to the same principles and motivations as they had when they assumed the responsibility to govern the country in 2002, and said: “We passionately serve the 85 million with an understanding that embraces Türkiye with all its colors, differences and beauties.”

President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at the party’s rally in Istanbul.

Describing his party as a team that constantly upgrades itself and expands its horizon according to the feedbacks received from the people and which never denies its shortcomings and mistakes, President Erdoğan said: “Today, you cannot see a team more dynamic, more energetic or more visionary than us in Istanbul or throughout Türkiye. Let them try every trick in the book to fulfill their aspirations. We, however, will always be serving our nation with a sincere and friendly stance.”

Stressing that one’s reference demonstrates what they feed themselves on, President Erdoğan pointed out that their reference is the people themselves, and stated: “Our reference is the services and projects we have implemented in Istanbul as well as in the other 80 provinces. Our reference is the historic reforms we have carried out in the domain of rights and freedoms. Our reference is our democracy breaking free of the grips of tutelage and growing stronger. Our reference is the removal of obstacles in front of the national will and make it rule in the country. Our reference is the reality of a Türkiye which has become the hope of all the oppressed in the world. We owe our victories in all the elections we have entered in the past 17 years to these references.”

Pointing out that they have never discriminated among people based on their origins, lifestyles or political dispositions, President Erdoğan said: “We have rejected all forms of discrimination. We have kept our municipalities’ and state institutions’ doors wide open to anyone connected to Türkiye through citizenship. We have not allowed political competition to be turned into political hostility and be employed as a source of discord among our people.”

Stressing that they today maintain the same stance they displayed when they took over the administration in Istanbul in 1994 and that they remain dedicated to the same principles and motivations as they had when they assumed the responsibility to govern the country in 2002, President Erdoğan said: “We passionately serve the 85 million with an understanding that embraces Türkiye with all its colors, differences and beauties. We will inshallah continue our path in the same manner in the future as well.”
