“WE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU ALONE”

Wishing Allah’s mercy on those who lost their lives in the earthquakes and floods, and speedy recovery to those who are still being treated, President Erdoğan said: “We will join hands as the state and the nation, and overcome these difficult days together in a spirit of total mobilization. With this aim, we have directed all the means of the relevant institutions of our state as well as to our municipalities the region. We have assigned the seven provinces most affected by the earthquakes and the citizens living there to 250 municipalities. We have made Adıyaman a sister municipality to 53 municipalities, including Erzurum, Ordu, Şanlıurfa, Niğde, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Tokat and Uşak. Adıyaman's sister municipalities will serve you with various activities they will organize especially during the blessed month of Ramadan. They will be with you in every field from iftar and suhur tables to food and rations distribution, from meeting shelter needs to spiritual support programs. Together with our municipalities, foundations, philanthropists and volunteers, they will work hard to ensure that you do not have a bitter Ramadan. Our municipalities will continue their activities not only during these holy days but also until life in the earthquake zone completely returns to normal. Regardless of the election agenda, we will not leave you alone and we will continue to personally monitor the work carried out here,” President Erdoğan said.

President Erdoğan emphasized that they endeavor to revive the cities destroyed by the earthquake as soon as possible and restore them to their former vitality.

"We cannot bring back the lives we lost. However, we can rebuild Adıyaman in a much more beautiful and safer way than before," President Erdoğan said, adding that they laid the foundations of the first phase of earthquake houses in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay last week, and today they laid the foundations of 4,431 residences and village houses in Adıyaman.

“The number of residences, workplaces, village houses and hospitals whose construction has started across our country reaches 56,323. We will build approximately 50 thousand residences and 23,640 village houses in our city. Inshallah, we will complete these within a year and deliver them to their rightful owners.
