“We work to build a more peaceful future”

 

Addressing the ‘Women Empowered by Türkiye and Empowering Türkiye’ event, President Erdoğan said: “Drawing lessons from what we have experienced, we work to build a future which is more peaceful, more prosperous and brighter in all respects. We are carrying out preparations for the Century of Türkiye on the axis of ‘strong women, strong families, and strong Türkiye’.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the ‘Women Empowered by Türkiye and Empowering Türkiye’ event in Istanbul.  

“Women’s contributions to our state, nation and the humanity as well as to our personal lives are too great and important to be confined to just one day of the year,” underlined the President, and said: “What differentiates in our view March 8 from other days is that it enables us to express through various events, as is the case now, our gratitude to women with whom we share life. Likewise, we make use of the March 8 as a means to review our state policies towards women and remedy all the problems and shortcomings we identify.”

President Erdoğan stated: “Having completed the first century of our Republic, we have now set sail for its second century with the vision of the Century of Türkiye. Drawing lessons from what we have experienced, we work to build a future which is more peaceful, more prosperous and brighter in all respects. We are carrying out preparations for the Century of Türkiye on the axis of ‘strong women, strong families, and strong Türkiye’. Our aim is to empower women, families and our country, respectively.”
