President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech during a meeting with governors at the Presidential Complex.

Noting that they as the country left the first century of the Republic and entered its second century last year, President Erdoğan said: “On the occasion of the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections held last May, we brought forward a new vision for our nation. This vision, which we call the Century of Türkiye, is not the name of the programme of a political party, but of the all-out development, growth and strengthening of the country.”

Underscoring that the Century of Türkiye is the common dream, common programme and common project of the nation and the state, President Erdoğan stressed that the primary addressee of the Century of Türkiye in the cities are the governors, and added: “The projects and services we have introduced as well as the progress we have made in terms of development and democracy in the past 21 years are the foundation of the Century of Türkiye. We see the Century of Türkiye, which we will raise upon this strong foundation built by compensating for the century-old neglects, as the greatest legacy that we will leave our children. In this sense, I am pleased that the agenda of our meeting with governors has been set by focusing on the Century of Türkiye.”
