President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the Aksaray rally
Addressing citizens in Aksaray, President Erdoğan said: “We grapple with the high cost of living caused by harsh inflation in our country, just like the rest of the world. We constantly take new steps to compensate for the decrease in the purchasing power of employees and retirees.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens at the party’s rally in Aksaray.
Stressing that they have been working day and night for the past 21 years in order not to feel embarrassed before citizens, including those from Aksaray, President Erdoğan said they reap the benefits of those efforts in a wide range of fields, and added: “We have accomplished the best levels of our history in growth, national income, exports, defense industry and diplomacy.”
Drawing attention to the numerous obstacles and problems raised in their way, President Erdoğan stated: “We confront the negative consequences of the crises, wars and tensions unfolding in our country. We grapple with the high cost of living caused by harsh inflation in our country, just like the rest of the world. We constantly take new steps to compensate for the decrease in the purchasing power of employees and retirees.”
Noting that the country’s burden will ease once inflation begins to fall starting from the second half of the year, President Erdoğan stated that they have the program and determination to rein in inflation but that a little bit more time is needed.
Pointing out that some circles annoyed by Türkiye’s power and potential seek to instill pessimism in the nation, President Erdoğan warned against attempts to drag Türkiye into a climate of distrust and instability in a bid to steal away the country’s gains, and said: “They think they can drive a wedge between us and our nation by setting temporary troubles before century-old goals. We have seen this scenario numerous times before. We saw it while fighting the traps of the tutelage. We saw it while combatting the attacks of terrorist organizations including FETO and PKK. We saw it while breaking the sieges the imperialists sought to lay to our country. We will foil this game all together.”
